From the Motor to the Track Drive
The brushless DC motor provides the rotary input, and the KRV063 gearbox reduces the speed before transmitting motion to the track drive. A 30:1 ratio means that the gearbox output completes one revolution for every 30 revolutions at its input.
The KRV right-angle transmission arrangement helps integrate the motor and gearbox within the chassis layout. For a tracked vehicle, the gearbox mounting position and output connection are part of the overall drive design, alongside the space available around the tracks.
The configuration shown here is the KRV063, 30:1 and 1.3 kW BLDC combination used for this 600 kg tracked chassis project. The workshop photograph shows the tracked equipment and its drive assemblies during integration.
